Legislation comes into force on the 1st April, 2021 requiring that rental properties with current tenancies must have an Electrical Installation Condition Report [EICR].
This involves a suitably qualified electrician inspecting, and testing the electrical circuit. Reports are valid for 5 years, at the end of which, a re-test is required [but this does not have to be as exhaustive].
