Summer Rental Market
The rental market in mid Lincolnshire has remained buoyant throughout the summer.
The usually quiet month of August is following on from a busy July with no lessening of interest in the search for a new rental home. The usual distractions of a seaside holiday and the children to entertain while off school, seems not to have deterred the house hunters. Often seeking to find a home within the catchment area of a favoured school, the houses most in demand are modern with contemporary bathrooms and kitchens. A shower and bath are "must haves". Three and four bedroom homes in the area, providing they are in good condition, are particularly popular. A recent listing of a 3 bedroom semi detached newly built house in Woodhall Spa has seen the need to provide a block booking of viewings for five or six people at a time. The younger applicants are less abundant with only the beginnings of interest from those driven by the job market following graduation. Hopefully as the autumn progresses the demand for one and two bedroom properties will match the interest in family homes. Generation rent continues unabated despite the improving economic climate.
