Summer Grazing 2016

On 31st March our 121st Summer Grazing Auction was held at the Black Swan, Horncastle: Nearly 100 acres were let at an average of £60/ac with the top lot reaching £100/ac. This represented only a small decrease of £4/ac compared to last year showing there is still demand despite more land being available and a decline in farming returns. Land let by private treaty have totalled nearly 1,000 acres with the average price at £60/acre.
