Amendments to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020 now provided consent for estate agents to open up the housing market and provide the general public with the opportunity to view, buy/rent and move home, once again. We are absolutely delighted for all our customers. At Robert Bell & Company we already have a socially distanced work plan for both our team and customers for prompt implementation and further announcements will be made shortly.
The latest analysis from Zoopla and Hometrack suggests that the hiatus in the market created by the lockdown has paused over 373,000 property sales in the UK, with the combined estimated value of circa £82 billion.
If NAEA Chief Executive Mark Haywood's prediction is correct that the housing market could be reopened by the end of May/beginning of June, it will be the good news that hundreds of thousands of buyers and sellers across the country have been desperately waiting and a great first boost towards the UK's economic recovery from the Coronavirus crisis.
Rightmove conducted a survey by live webinar asking consumers whether their plans to move home before lockdown had now changed. The indication from this report is that the UK public is still taking a very positive view of what the future may hold for UK housing market, despite the coronavirus crisis.
As we reported, in their March House Price Index Report the Nationwide Building Society took what many property pundits thought was a rather over-optimistic view that there could be a positive rebound in the housing market post lockdown. In this weeks report for April, they have continued to support the idea of a rebound, and this view is now beginning to receive more credence and backing by many in the property industry.
Outstanding! An exemplary firm! The staff are all friendly, kind, understanding and go above and beyond. From valuation through to completion all staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful, without them the sale would not have progressed to completion before Christmas like all parties wanted. Not only do they work tirelessly for the seller but they also take on board the buyers needs so that all parties are happy with the outcome. Their knowledge and understanding of the market is unrivaled and we wouldn’t use any other. Thank you all for all your hard work.
Excellent service throughout the selling process. Excellent service from all at Robert Bell. Unfortunately one buyer pulled out of the purchase at a very late stage, but the staff at Robert Bell remained positive and pro-active throughout. I can't recommend strongly enough Robert Bell and would not hesitate to use them again in future for any subsequent sale/purchase. Your Reply
